How to make your Pressure Sensor read in a different unit of pressure with the XR5 Data Logger.
1. If your sensor's pressure unit is psi, skip to step 2. Otherwise click "psi [psi]" and select the current pressure unit.
2. Click "pascal [Pa]" and select the desired pressure unit.
3. In LogXR, select Setup | Extract.
4. Enter your Pressure Sensor's Slope value into the "From:" field below. The new Slope value automatically appears in the Result field. Enter this new Slope value into the Pressure Sensor's Slope field in LogXR (there is no need to click the Calculate Slope/Offset button).
5. Enter the Offset value from LogXR into the "From" field. The new Offset value appears in the Result field. Enter this new value into LogXR's Offset field (there is no need to click the Calculate Slope/Offset button).
6. (Optional) In the pressure sensor's Description field, enter the new unit of measure preceded by a semicolon (for example, for kPa, enter ";kPa" at the end of the Description field).
7. Click Send | Send Setup to send the modified setup to the XR5. The XR5 Data Logger will now log and display pressure readings in your new unit of pressure.
If the pressure unit you wish to use is not listed, please contact Pace, and we will add it to the above calculator.
